Bethany is a licensed professional counselor who studied at Judson University for her undergraduate degree. She received her masters from Northeastern Illinois University in 2013. She has worked in residential facilities, foster homes, therapeutic day schools, and community mental health agencies.
Bethany uses an eclectic approach to meet clients where they are. While working with children she believes that play is critical to healing. Bethany also uses CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, and DBT, dialectical behavioral therapy to understand patterns that are keeping a person stuck. Bethany works alongside clients as they restructure the way they think to develop healthier thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. A quote Bethany particularly likes is, “A negative mind will NEVER give you a positive life”.
